The Great Mormon (Papilio memnon) is a large butterfly that belongs to the swallowtail family and is found in southern Asia. It is widely distributed and has thirteen subspecies. The females come in a variety of morphs. The most common morphs, such as anchanes, mimic natural models which are unpalatable to birds.
Oh damn, this is so beautiful, but I would probably scream the shit out of myself if I saw one of this in front of me. I’m terribly afraid of insects :(

This mushroom - thought to be a specimen of Clathrus archeri, or “Devil’s Fingers” - takes the cake for being the strangest and creepiest specimen of a fungus looking like something else. It looks like a cold, dead hand reaching out to pull the rest of the zombie body out of the earth. Those even look like tattered sleeves down by the wrists of the hands.
